Enviro-Safe™ 22a, like all of our refrigerants, is environmentally friendly (non-ozone-depleting) and non-global warming.Enviro-Safe™ 22a is very efficient and provides lower head pressures resulting in less wear and tear on your unit. Each pound of ES-22a is equivalent to 2.5 lbs of R-22.

If you are charging with gauges, charge to ambient minus 10 to as high as ambient. In other words, if it is 90F outside, charge the lowside to 80psi, etc. however, even it is over 100F do not continue to extrapolate. This is for normal summer-time temps of 70F and up. (If it is 70F or lower, charge to ambient minus 5. So, if it is 70F charge low-side to 65psi.)

Never charge the lowside over 90psi regardless of temp. If it is over 100F outside you will get colder vent air at 85psi on the low-side. (If you know what the low-side pressure should be when charged with regular R-22 you can charge ES-22a to that same low-side pressure. If you do not, the "ambient minus 10" discussed above works well...in all cases invert cans or cylinders so that ES-22a charges into the low-side as a liquid )

Electricity consumption drops dramatically (25-40%) by simply switching from R-22 to this refrigerant! (No changes whatsoever to the system. It works fine right on top of R-22 but is much colder and more energy efficient alone)
